Hachiko: A Dog's Story
It's based on a true story about faithful Japanese dog by the name of Hachiko who was stumbled upon by a college professor(played by Richard Gere) at the Shibuya Train Station in Tokyo where the professor adopted it. Both the professor and Hachi developed a very strong bond whereby Hachi will always be waiting for the professor at the Shibuya Train Station everyday at the same time without fail. Even when the professor has passed away, Hachi still appears at the train station and wait in vigil for the professor's return for another 9 years where it finally passed away. A Hachiko Bronze Statue is being erected just outside the Shibuya Station to commemorate the dog's loyalty to the master.
